This short story was written in first person, giving access to the characters thoughts and feelings.
Carol Spencer suddenly finds herself jobless, and when the going gets tough she decides to get a little creative and invents for herself a name (Jacqueline Stargazer - what can go wrong with a name like that)and becomes a tarot reader.
I loved Ms. Watson take on this story, which felt very real and in 16 pages I got to know the character, smile at the Carol's antics and was sympathetic at the unexpected turn of events at the end.
I'll be looking forward to more stories from this author.
