The Calling has all kind of emotions that keep a good story going: Fear, buckets of love, uncertainty, hatred, trust…. A story of two people, each with their own set of problems. Mandy's life been threatened by cancer. Justin is carrying the huge burden of killing his sister while trying to save her. His mother is suicidal and, his father never there. And then there’s that undying love Justin has always had for Mandy which is beautiful and he finally gets his chance after Mandy’s breakup with Ty.
Ashley Lynn Willis doesn’t shy away from those steamy scenes some us of girls love, and that’s one thing I loved about her writing. I will definitely look out for her next novel. Her characters are very well drawn, reflecting their innermost feelings. In my opinion, the story was wrapped up very well, and I loved the Justin and Mandy’s Happily Ever After.
Did I mention that I love the cover?
